We were delighted and proud to follow the exciting competitions of the Simbine Classic, where Luca Kozák and Boglárka Takács, both Olympians, alongside Anna Tóth, Zita Szentgyörgyi and Annabella Bogdán, proudly represented Hungary.
As a key stop on the World Athletics Continental Tour, the Simbine Classic is a prominent event on the international athletics calendar, bringing together top-level competitors from around the world.
🔹 Luca Kozák finished 2nd in the women’s 100m hurdles final (12.88)
🔹 Anna Tóth also competed in the women’s 100m hurdles, finishing 5th in the final (13.19)
🔹 Boglárka Takács placed 6th in the women’s 100m final (11.27)
🔹 The Hungarian women’s 4x100m relay team secured an excellent 2nd place (43.93)
🔹 Annabella Bogdán finished 4th in the women’s javelin (52.47 m)
The Hungarian athletes delivered strong performances across hurdles, sprint events, relays and field events, showcasing their dedication, determination and competitive spirit.
Roland Németh, coach of Boglárka Takács, also accompanied the team, and we had the pleasure of exchanging a few words with the athletes and their entourage following the races.
The event was attended on behalf of the Embassy by Ambassador Viktor Géza Fülöp, along with several colleagues, to show support for the Hungarian athletes.
Following the competition, the team will travel on to the World Athletics Relays in Gaborone, where they will take on new international challenges.
Congratulations on the fantastic performances, and we wish them continued success in the upcoming competition!
