The countries of the Visegrad Group, in accordance with the traditions, held a common diplomatic reception in the Visegrad House in Cape Town on 18 June 2019, two days before the South African President’s State of the Nation Address. The event was the closing event of the Slovak V4 Presidency in South Africa, while the priorities of the Czech Republic, which is taking over the Presidency from the 1st of July, were also presented. The hosts of the occasion were Ambassador of Hungary Mr. András László Király, Ambassador of the Czech Republic Mr. Michal Král, Ambassador of Poland Mr. Andrzej Kanthak and Chargé d’Affaires of Slovakia Mr. Michal Greňo.

Czech Ambassador, Michal Král in his speech expressed the common values of the Visegrad cooperation with two words: trust and solidarity. Despite challenges, the four Visegrad countries have been always trying to transform these virtues into reality both inside and outside the V4 group.
